Overview
Sudoku Breeze is designed to respect your privacy. We do not ask for, and we do not collect, personally identifying information such as your name, email address, or phone number. To operate, improve, and support the game, the app uses a small number of third-party services (Google AdMob and Google Firebase) that process limited technical information, as described below.
Data Stored on Your Device
Your game progress — puzzles in progress, scores, statistics, streaks, badges, and settings — is stored locally on your device. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.
Cloud Backup of Game Progress
Sudoku Breeze can back up your game progress (points, statistics, best times, badges, and daily-challenge history) to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so it is not lost. This backup works as follows:
- It uses an anonymous account created automatically by Firebase Authentication. It is a random identifier — it is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal profile.
- The backup contains only game data (scores, counters, badges, times). No personal information is included.
- Data is transmitted encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google servers. Only your own anonymous account can read or write your backup.
If you want your cloud backup deleted, contact us at the address below and include the request; we will remove it promptly.
Weekly Ranking and Nicknames
Sudoku Breeze includes an optional weekly ranking. To appear on it, you choose a nickname (3–16 characters) that is shown publicly on the leaderboard next to the points you earned that week. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as your nickname. Your nickname and weekly points are stored in Firebase (Cloud Firestore) linked to your anonymous account, and you can change the nickname at any time from the ranking screen. If you never choose a nickname, you will not appear on the ranking.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the game is used (for example, which difficulty levels are played and completed) and to detect and fix crashes. These services collect anonymous or pseudonymous technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, general usage events, crash logs, and app-instance identifiers. This information is used solely to improve the stability and quality of the game and is processed by Google under its own privacy policies (Google Privacy Policy).
Advertising
Sudoku Breeze shows optional ads at limited moments (for example, when you request an extra hint or an extra life). Ads are served by third-party networks such as Google AdMob. These providers may collect anonymous, non-personal technical information, such as device identifiers, to serve and measure ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Your Consent Choices
In regions where it is required (such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the app shows a consent form before serving personalized ads, using Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can review or change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The game uses anonymous identifiers only and contains no social features, chat, or user-generated content. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our services, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Data Security
All data exchanged between the app and Google services is encrypted in transit. Cloud data is stored in Google’s infrastructure, protected by security rules that restrict each backup to its own anonymous account.
Audio & Vibration
Sound effects and vibration are optional and can be turned on or off from the Settings screen. The app does not access your microphone.
